Nerd On Retainer keeps client work, messages, and account information private by default. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how account deletion works.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, company name, consultation details, portal messages, uploaded files, development requests, account settings, and payment or subscription status.
When you use the website, portal, or mobile app, we may collect basic technical information such as device type, app version, browser type, IP address, timestamps, authentication logs, and diagnostic information needed to keep the service secure and working.
How we use information
- To provide websites, apps, automations, portals, integrations, maintenance, and related development services.
- To manage your account, subscription, messages, requests, approvals, and support.
- To send important service updates, security notices, billing notices, and push notifications you allow.
- To improve, debug, secure, and maintain Nerd On Retainer services.
- To comply with legal, tax, payment, fraud-prevention, and security obligations.
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics on the public Nerd On Retainer website to understand how visitors find and use the site. This may include pages viewed, referral source, approximate location, device and browser information, and interactions such as viewing pricing or starting a consultation request.
We do not send consultation form contents, names, email addresses, client messages, project requests, or private portal activity to Google Analytics. Google may process analytics information under its own privacy practices. You can limit cookies and similar technologies through your browser settings.
Payments
Payments and subscriptions are processed through Stripe. Nerd On Retainer does not store full card numbers on its own servers. Stripe may process payment details, billing information, and transaction data under its own privacy and security practices.
Push notifications
If you allow notifications in the mobile app, we may store a device token so we can send service-related alerts, such as request updates or completed work. You can turn notifications off anytime in your device settings.
How we share information
We do not sell client information. We may share information only with service providers needed to run the business, such as hosting, database, authentication, payment, email, analytics, security, and support providers. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Nerd On Retainer, clients, or others.
Account deletion
You can request deletion from inside the Nerd On Retainer mobile app by going to Account and tapping Delete account. Account deletion removes your login and portal data tied to that account, including requests and messages where applicable.
Some records may be retained if required for legal, tax, billing, fraud-prevention, security, dispute, or legitimate business reasons.
